Paw Patrol Birthday Party

We finally had the big birthday party! The Paw Patrol birthday party was a huge hit with all the kids. The games were a success, and the snacks were delicious. Most importantly, my son had a great time and smiled the whole way through the party.  It was really fun to see how it all came together and how much everyone enjoyed themselves- even the parents!

Here’s how it went.

Paw Patrol Birthday Party Invitations

I created this invitation using clipart I found on Etsy.  I printed the finished invitations on cardstock and mailed them out with just a single stamp.   The photo above shows how they turned out.

I prepared three Paw Patrol-themed snacks for the party. They were super easy to make and all gone at the end of the party! I put each type of snack in a small tin I found at Target and added a label. Dog Bones: The dog bones are actually cheese crackers I made and cut with a dog-bone cookie cutter. Here is the recipe I used. Be aware, they are DELICIOUS and won’t last long.

Fire Hoses: The fire hoses are just red licorice. I saw this idea on Pinterest and had to incorporate it into the party.

Fetch Sticks: The fetch sticks are pretzel rods. No need to say more!

I saw this idea somewhere on Pinterest and loved it so much that I recreated it for the party and added my own twist. The fire hoses are simply red licorice and the fetch sticks are pretzel rods. The dog bones are explained below. Click HERE to download food and drink labels.

Drinks

The  “Doggy Water” is super simple.  I  just added a bit of blue food coloring to the water and, at my son’s request, added a few strawberry-flavored ice cubes.

Goody Bags

The goody bags were pretty simple. We bought white paper bags, printed the labels on sticker paper, and attached one to each bag.

Each goody bag had some Paw Patrol goodies from a few local stores, and some dog bone gummies I bought online. I also added our very own Paw Patrol Memory Game to the goody bag.

Fun and Games

Paw Patrol Pinata

A piñata was high on my son’s list for his party. I had two concerns with a piñata. One, they are so expensive, and two, I was not so keen on sending all that candy home with the kids. So, to solve this problem, we made our own piñata and, instead of candy, filled it with Paw Patrol goodies and Matchbox cars.  Problem solved. 🙂

If you are looking for items to fill the bag, Oriental Trading Company has tons of inexpensive Paw Patrol goodies.

Paw Patrol Badge Hunt

I hid a bunch of Paw Patrol badges I printed out around the yard and had the party goers go on a Badge Hunt. For more details, see our post Paw Patrol Badge Hunt Game with FREE Printable Templates

Pin the Badge on Zuma

I enlarged and printed a picture of Zuma and hung it on our door. I also made several copies of Zuma’s badge, cut them out, and used them with a little tape bubble to play,  “Pin the Badge on Zuma.”

Make Your Own Koosh Ball

Boy Mama Teacher Mama | Koosh Ball Image

It was going to be a hot day, and I knew the kids would appreciate some water play to stay cool. So, I cut up some sponges and showed the kids how to make their own sponge koosh ball. They quickly set to work picking their colors and creating their Koosh balls. They did really well and only needed a little help tying the strings. After the koosh balls were completed, the kids took them and hopped into the kiddie pool to cool off.

Paw Patrol Birthday Cake

To make the cake, I followed the steps laid out in our post, A Trashy Celebration, only this time cutting the cakes in the shape of a badge. To create the shape, I printed an enlarged badge image on paper, laid it on top of the cake, and cut around it like a template.

I then iced it with pretty blue icing.

I used another enlarged image to make a template for the paw print. then used it to create the paw on the cake with white icing.

  2. My grandchildren are crazy about Paw Patrol. I try to do crafty, unique things for them and mail to them since we live a long distance. We already had a 2 year old Paw Patrol birthday party before I found your post, but I love the badges in Find the Paw Patrol badges. I am using them to decorate a Potty Prize box for my grandson’s potty training adventure & will laminate them & use as tokens or for other projects. Thank you!
