FREE 100th Day Printables

📝 This post, the 100th Day of School, was originally published in 2012 and has been updated with new information and resources.

100th Day of School always calls for a big celebration! Classrooms are filled with fun activities centered around the number 100, themed outfits, and even teachers join in on the fun. My fellow teachers and I made T-shirts covered with 100 tally marks to wear on 100th Day, and the kids loved them!

It’s also a great opportunity to think about the number 100 in different ways—whether it’s imagining life at 100 years old, deciding what you’d do with $100, or taking on a challenge involving 100. The day is full of fun, laughter, and excitement, and it’s always one of the highlights of the school year.

To help you celebrate, I’ve gathered some of the 100th Day activities and FREE printables I’ve used in my own classroom over the years. I hope they help make your celebration even more memorable!

If I Had $100…

This writing activity lets students imagine what they would do with $100. Their ideas are always so much fun to read. One of my all-time favorites was, “If I had $100, I would buy a unicorn.” I still laugh every time I think about it!

When I Am 100 Years Old…

Students also love imagining what life will be like when they are 100 years old. Here are a few responses that had us laughing out loud:

“When I am 100 years old, I will go outside and remember going outside playing.”

“When I am 100 years old, I will watch TV.”

“When I am 100 years old, I will be sad and sit in a chair.”

“When I am 100 years old, I would tell my grandson to go to the store to get some cheese.”

You never know what your students will come up with, and that’s half the fun! 💚

FREE 100th Day of School Pencil Tags

If you’re looking for a simple way to surprise your class, these FREE 100th Day pencil tags are the perfect finishing touch. My teaching partner found fuzzy pencils at the dollar store, and I created these tags to tie onto each one. I placed a pencil at every student’s desk before school, and they were so excited to discover them that morning.

Simply print the tags on cardstock, cut them out, punch a hole in the top, and tie them to a pencil with ribbon.
