FREE Summer Memory Book
Summer always seems to fly by. One minute it’s the last day of school, and the next you’re shopping for school supplies again! That’s exactly why I created this FREE Summer Memory Book printable—to help families capture those little moments that make summer so special before they slip away.
Each week, your child can draw a picture or add a favorite photo and write about a special memory. By the time school starts, they’ll have a keepsake filled with camping trips, pool days, cookouts, fireworks, s’mores, vacations, and all the little adventures that made their summer unforgettable.
Parents, I hope this printable helps you slow down and hold onto some of those precious summer memories. And teachers, I think you’ll love it too! It makes a wonderful alternative to the traditional “What I Did This Summer” writing assignment because students will already have a book full of stories and memories to share with their new classmates.
What’s Included?
✔️ A printable cover page to create your own Summer Memory Book
✔️ Writing pages with space to draw a picture or glue in a favorite photo
✔️ Summer-themed pages featuring camping, swimming, cookouts, fireworks, s’mores, vacations, and more
✔️ A keepsake your family can enjoy for years to come
How to Use Your Summer Memory Book
At home: Have your child complete one or two pages each week as summer adventures happen. They can draw a picture, glue in a favorite photo, and write a few sentences about each memory. At the end of the summer, simply staple or bind the pages together to create a special keepsake book.
In the classroom: Send copies home before summer break so families can build the book together over the summer. Then invite students to bring their completed books back during the first week of school to share with classmates. You can also use individual pages as engaging back-to-school writing prompts.
It’s a simple activity that encourages writing, preserves special memories, and creates a keepsake kids will enjoy looking back on for years to come.
