FREE Printable Daily Weather Graph
📝 This post , Free Weather Graph, was originally published in 2015 and has been updated with new information and resources.
Tracking the weather is one of the most engaging and practical math activities you can do with young learners! This free printable daily weather graph is perfect for Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms — and it looks great on your math wall too!
Why We Created This Weather Graph

Our school’s math program came with a weather graph, but honestly? It was unattractive and not very practical for our classroom. So my teaching partner and I decided to create our own — one that actually worked for our students AND looked nice enough to display proudly!
How to Use the Daily Graph
Using this weather graph couldn’t be simpler:
- Print and laminate the graph
- Each day, have children color in the appropriate weather box
- At the end of the month, read and discuss the data together!
Need a bigger graph? Simply print two pages and glue them together to accommodate more days!

What Kids Learn from a Daily Weather Graph
This simple daily activity teaches so much:
- Graphing and data collection
- Weather vocabulary (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy)
- Counting and comparing numbers
- Reading and interpreting graphs
- Daily calendar and math routine skills
Tips for Using This Weather Graph in Your Classroom
- Laminate it so kids can use dry erase markers instead of coloring
- Make it part of your morning meeting or calendar time
- Use it as a jumping off point for graphing discussions — which weather happened most? Least?
- Send a copy home for families to use too!
