Simple and Seasonal: A Leaf Wreath

One of the things I missed most while away from home was fall. I am sure I mentioned that a few times. 🙂 So, when we arrived home I decided I wanted to bring some fall inside the house to enjoy. I also have nothing in my house (arts and crafts wise) since all of our stuff is on a container ship somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In order to bring fall in, I had to use what I had– cardboard from a cereal box, a pair of scissors, a hot glue gun (yes, I packed it in my suitcase) and some gorgeous autumn leaves from our neighborhood.

I simply cut a circle from a cereal and then another inside that so it looked like a donut. I then used my hot glue gun to attach the leaves around the circle to create a leaf wreath. I got aboyut 80% done before I needed more leaves and that is when the rain started falling and everything was so soggy that I put off collecting more leaves until a later date. But, what I made doesn’t look half bad and it was super easy, costs virtually nothing to make, is recyclable and looks beautiful in our kitchen window.
