How to Make a Magnetic Ten Frame Paddle
I really want magnetic ten frame answer paddles for my class, but they are pricey so I decided to make my own Of course there are some differences between the “real” ten frame boards, but for now, the ones I created will do just fine.
Materials
duct tape
glue
colored paper
packing tape
Directions
Using the duct tape of your choice, completely cover the blade of the painter’s knife being sure to cover the sharp edges well. I used this adorable penguin duct tape I bought a few years ago.
Print the ten frames pictured below on the paper of your choice. I used orange to match the penguins feet and beaks. Click on the image to download the template.
Cut out the templates and glue them to the paddle.
I did the same on the opposite side as well. Then I covered both sides with packing tape for durability and so I can write on it if I need to and it will wipe right off.
Now your magnetic ten frame paddle is complete and ready to use!
