FREE Games for Sequencing Numbers 0-40

Sequencing numbers is a breeze for some children, but for others it is not so easy. Some kids can do it when the numbers are less than 20 with no problem, but when the numbers get bigger, they have trouble. Here are a few FREE games to practice sequencing numbers 0-40. To download the games simply click on the image below. Read on for playing directions.

Preparing the Games

Print out the templates and recording sheets. I printed the Greatest to Least Sorting Game on card stock and the other back-to-back on plain copy paper.

Print our FREE Number Cards (click the image below to download) on card stock and cut them out as well.

Greatest to Least/Least to Greatest Sorting Game

Give players a game board and a set of cards. Have them select four cards from the pile and put them in order from greatest to least on top of the game board and then from least to greatest on the bottom.

This game can also be played with partners where one card is selected at a time and cards are sequenced as they are chosen. This is great to play with an adult for kids who are struggling as it is a perfect time to verbalize and model thinking as you play.

Greatest to Least/Least to Greatest Sort and Write Game

This game is played the same way as the game above only players record the numbers sequenced on the recording sheet.
