Scarecrow Art
I fell in love with this idea for making scarecrows faces from Art Projects for Kids. It is a bit more structured than most drawing/painting activities we do in our classroom, but I still wanted to give it a try. I read my students a slew of scarecrow stories last week and this week, we made our scarecrow faces.
First, we followed the steps shared in the scarecrow faces post from Art Projects for Kids. I then asked my students to go over their drawings with Sharpie. I pthen ut out some tempera paints and the kids painted their scarecrows.
Here are some of the faces my students created. Are they wonderful??
I am thinking of trying this with my boys this weekend. I am curious to see what their faces will look like. Plus, I really want one of these fabulous pictures to hang in my house. 🙂
