Primary Color Play Dough
Today had to be one of the gloomiest days we have had in a long time and I needed to do something to brighten our day. I decided that some brightly colored play dough was in order. I had intended to make all the colors of the rainbow, but decided instead to stick with making the primary colors.
I grabbed my favorite no cook-play dough recipe, did some quick math (to divide the recipe into thirds) and whipped up some blue, yellow and red play dough.
The colors didn’t quite turn out the way I had hoped (nor did the photos), but they worked. 🙂
My boys had a great time with the play dough!
This wasn’t just a time for fun with play dough, I threw in a little learning too. We talked a bit about the three primary colors and then experimented to see what happened when we mixed them together. Here is what we learned…
And don’t forget the brown!
Overall a great time was had by all and the fun will continue tomorrow….
