Holiday Cards: See How We’ve Grown
You may have a pile of holiday cards like ours (see above). And, you may feel like I do about throwing them away. It seems such a waste, but at the same time, I do not need all these cards on display for the next 12 months. So, what to do? Well, I was visiting with a dear friend the other day and she told me what they do with their holiday cards each year and I thought it was such a great idea that I had to not only try it myself, but share it with you all.
My friend saves all her holiday cards and tucks them away for next year. Then, when the holiday season rolls around, she pulls them out and compares last years to the current years to see how everyone has grown and changed. Brilliant!
I took all our cards, made them into a neat pile and wrapped them with ribbon. Then I took one of our cards that did not come with a photo and created a simple label that says “2012” so I will know when we received the cards. I am going to tuck them away with our holiday decorations for next year so we can see how all our friends and family have changed over the year. I am so excited!
With thanks to M.P. So glad to have you in our lives! 🙂
