Five Little Valentines Rhyme and Craft
We love the Five Little rhymes in our house. We had yet to create a Valentine rhyme so that is what we worked on today. There are three different versions of the rhyme, so you can choose which you like best- or do them all!
Creating the Valentines
Materials: Really anything you have laying around the house will do. Some suggested items we used are doilies, construction paper (red, pink, purple, white), googly eyes, craft scissors, glitter, markers, pom poms and buttons.
Create your heart templates using an empty cereal or cracker box.
Glue your colored paper for the hearts onto a box.
Use your heart stencil and trace at least 5 hearts. Cut the hearts out.
Aren’t they adorable???
Here are our finished Five Little Valentines to use with our rhymes (below). If you want to see how we made our stands, see our post, Fall Fingerplays.
I bought this cute little mailbox at Target in the Dollar Spots, but any small box will do. Simply cover it with colored paper and write the words, “Valentine Box” on it!
Then when playing with the rhyme, you can put the Valentines in the box!
