Painted Rocks for Halloween
I love all the rock painting I have seen over the past few months. There are so many clever ideas out there! We decided that painting our rocks for Halloween would be fun. Here is how we did it.
Painted Rocks for Halloween
We had a bunch of rocks we collected at the beach this summer that we cleaned off and painted. We began only with orange paint, but added white. We thought of adding black as well, but that bottle was empty. 🙁
The rocks actually needed quite a few coats before they looked truly orange or white. We painted them over a few days with drying time in between.
Then, using some black paint pens (and a few Sharpies) we set to decorating them. It was fun to watch my boys decorate their rocks. They had completely different ideas and because of their ages (4 and 6) their end products were very different.
After the painting the rocks for Halloween, I put a layer of Modge Podge on each rock to add some shine and to hopefully make them last longer. We are pretty please with how our painted rocks for Halloween turned out.
What do you think?
