FREE Math Printable- Roll It, Write It, Show It
I came across this FREE printable the other day from Mrs. Carr’s Corner on Teachers Pay Teachers. I absolutely loved it and printed it out right away.
I thought it would be perfect for my firsties, but after looking a bit closer, I realized that it was a little too hard for some of my students and a little too easy for others. So, I borrowed Mrs. Carr’s idea and modified it for use in my class.
Both versions I created, help students work on number sense and using ten frames.
Roll It, Write It, Show It (simple version)
This version is very similar except it leaves out the tally portion. I wanted my students to concentrate on the dots on the die, writing the number and completing the number frame. I wanted them to wait on tallying as well.
Roll It, Write It, Tally It, Show It (more challenging version)
For this version, students roll 2 dice, write the number, tally it and show it using multiple ten frames.
Directions
Students roll either one die or two depending on which paper they are using. They then draw the corresponding dots on the dice in the first column. Next, they write the number shown on the die/die. After that, students using the more challenging paper, tally the number they rolled. Finally, students show the number they rolled in the ten frames provided.
Both versions are FREE.
