FREE Place Value Top It Game
I love offering freebies to our readers! This week our FREEBIE is a Place Value Top-It Game. This game is fantastic for helping children really understand place value. This game can be played alone, with a partner or even in a small group. The goal is to create the biggest (or smallest) number possible using the cards you are given and the game board.

Preparation
Print game boards
Print number cards x2
Cut out number cards
Note: You can print the number cards with the decorative page on the back if desired.
How to Play
To begin choose the board you want your student(s) to use. Provide one board per student. Two students (or more) can play against each other.
The first player one selects a card and places it on his place value game board. He should place the cards strategically so that he is creating the biggest number possible. Player two then takes a turn and tries to create a bigger number than his opponent. Player with the bigger number “wins.”
You can also play to create the smallest number.
