FREE Superbowl Activities
This is probably the fastest post I have ever done. I created these activities today to use in the classroom tomorrow and am posting them this evening. Crazy!
Living in the Seattle area, the place is buzzing with Seahawks mania. I will admit that I am not a huge professional football fan- I much prefer Big 10 Football (Go Badgers!), but am jumping on the bandwagon for my boys’ sake and the sake of my first graders.
Here is what we will be doing in my classroom tomorrow:
Create a Jersey
What sport’s fan does not dream of seeing his or her name on the back of a jersey? This is your child’s chance to have his or her dream come true. Simply print out this FREE template and decorate!

Football Math Fact Game
Print the FREE template, playing cards and playing pieces. Have each student draw two cards, add them together (or subtract or multiply). If the answer is right, the player moves his football ahead 10 yards. If the answer is wrong, he stays where he is. Tally a point every time each player makes a touchdown.

I hope you enjoy these activities!
