Boy Mama: Super Hero Birthday Party

Super Hero Birthday Party

Okay, big admission here- I had nothing to do with this birthday party at all.  My only part in it was that my son was a guest and the host is a dear, dear friend. But when I saw what she had done, I asked if I could document her party here on BMTM to share it with my readers.  Thankfully, she said yes. She provided me with all the photos and the links and I am just putting it all come together.

Super Hero Birthday Party Invitation

The invitation is from MetroEvents.

Birthday Banner

Amy found the super hero images on the internet, printed them and cut them out. The letters were done on a cricut and backed with colored paper.  A photo of the birthday boy from each year hang from each super hero.banner

Super Easy Superhero Mask from JustBunch

The masks were made from felt and elastic and were color coordinated to match each cape.

Super Hero Cape from Serving Pink Lemonade

Amy used two colors of satin to make the capes reversable. The lettering, from The Lady Wolf, was cut out and sewn on the capes.

Super Hero Cuffs from Factory Direct Craft

Amy added toilet paper rolls cut in half and covered with duct tape to give the cuffs strength and shape. She set up a cuff decorating station where guests could add circles and stars of all colors to their cuffs.

Other Decorations

The Hall of Justice is mounted on a grapevine wreath. Amy cut foam core pieces to create the Hall and painted it with nail polish.

I have to say that by far my favorite part of this party are the capes. They are incredible and the perfect souvenir for the guests to take home to enjoy. My son has been playing “Super T” since Saturday and is even considering being “Super T” for Halloween…
