My son has about 10 sight words to work on each week. And, each week, we write them out on colored paper, cut them out and hang them on the wall by his bedside. We read the words each night and sometimes in the morning. I will often catch him reading them on his own as well! Our wall, however, was getting really crowded with all his words from the first two terms of school. So, while he was at school the other day, I took them his word cards down, punched a hole in the corner of each card and put them on a binder ring. Then I put up his new words from this term. Now, he can still practice his words AND he can take them with him when he goes.
